The "Re-Imagining Citizenship in the Arab Region" Conference will be held on May 5-6, 2026. The conference is organized by the Asfari Institute for Civil Society and Citizenship at the American University of Beirut (AUB) in partnership with Public Management Research Association, the School of Public Affairs at American University and the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA). In addition to the main conference, there will be two complementary workshops: The Leadership Forum on Public Affairs Education on May 4, 2026 (by invitation only), and the Academic Publishing Workshop on Public Management in the Middle East on May 6-7, 2026.

The Public Management Research Association (PMRA) is seeking proposals to host the 2027 Public Management Research Conference to be held outside the United States.
To support institutions interested in submitting a proposal, PMRA President Lael Keiser ([email protected]) and PMRA Association Manager ([email protected]) will be available to answer questions about the application process and the conference.
